Hike Day is ON for tomorrow

There is supposed to be morning rain and then clearing around 9:00 a.m.

so we are planning to hike!

Please wear boots and warm layers so you are comfortable!

The bus will leave school at 8:45 a.m. and arrive at Windekind Farm at 9:00 a.m.

We will leave for our hike at about 9:15-9:30

Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award Readers Celebrate 

The Fourteenth Goldfish, by Jennifer Holm.

Readers gathered in the library today to share their writing of an imagined sequel to the book they loved so well. Snacks of Jello Jellyfish, Goldfish crackers in a fishbowl, and Swedish Fish (jelly fish, get it?) were provided by Mrs Irish. 

Author Jennifer Holm tweeted "So cool!" when she heard they were writing the sequels.

Participants voted this to be the best book group ever. (October 16, 2015)

rain date is Friday, 10/23

Please meet us up at Windekind Farm at 9:00 a.m.

Hikes begin around 9:30 a.m. and we return to the house

around 11-11:30 a.m. for lunch.

Please be sure to fill out lunch request on permission slip

so we have an accurate count for lunch.

We hope to see you there!

Seeking school board secretary/ one Tuesday evening a month

CESU is seeking a board secretary to take and transcribe meeting minutes for the Huntington Elementary School Board.  The Huntington School Board meets monthly on the 2^nd Tuesday of the month, from 6:30-8:30 @ Brewster-Pierce Memorial School.  Secretarial experience helpful but not required.  We pay $19.50 per hour.
